*The examiner will ask you to show your ID. Besides, the previous questions could be rephrased in different ways. In essence, they will request this information from you.

Can you spell your family name for me, please?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Thank you. Where are you from?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Part 1 (3 minutes)

Examiner: Now Part One. I’m going to ask you some questions about yourself and your ideas.

*The examiner can ask you from 3 to 5 questions depending on the length of your answer. Keep talking until they tell you to stop or calculate your answer to be around 30 seconds. The questions will not be displayed on the screen. You will not see the timer on the screen, so time management is intuitive.

Restaurants: Do you prefer to eat at home? Or eat out?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Electronics: Should children have access to electronics?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Cleaning: Do you wash your dishes by hand? Or do you have a dishwasher?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Part 2 (3 minutes)

Examiner: Now Part Two. We are going to role-play some situations. I want you to start or respond.

*Approximately two turns each. Interact with the examiner and ask them questions.

1) I am the bartender at a very busy bar. What would you like to drink?. I start.

2) We’re siblings. Dad wants one of us to take out the trash before dinner. You start.

Part 3 (4 minutes)

Apparently, there are two ways in which you could be asked to do this task. The first one is to pick 3 bubbles and speak about them; the second one is to debate about some of the bubbles with the proctor, agreeing and disagreeing. Let’s practise both ways.

You have 20 seconds in which to look at this part and think about what to say.

Part 4 (5 minutes including follow-up questions)

Examiner: In Part Four you are going to talk about something for two minutes. Your topic is advertising. You have 30 seconds to write some notes to help you.

*In Part Four you can have a piece of paper and a pencil to write. The examiner will ask you, at least, one follow-up question.

Speak about Freedom of speech for 2 minutes.
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Follow-up question: Do you know anyone who is against this right?
……………………………………………………………………………………….

Follow-up question: To what extent is freedom of speech considered an issue?
