Research has shown that switching to a plant-based diet could reduce an individual’s carbon footprint by up to 73%.

 

Besides reducing carbon emissions and water usage, plant-based diets can also offer potential benefits for climate change mitigation and adaptation. Plant-based diets can help promote biodiversity and reduce deforestation, which can help protect natural habitats and reduce the impact of climate change. Additionally, plant-based diets can improve soil health and reduce the risk of soil degradation, which can help support sustainable agriculture.
